Auto Refresh Privacy Policy
How the X Networks Auto Refresh Chrome extension handles your data.
Summary
X Networks Auto Refresh does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything it does happens inside your browser.
What the extension does
It reloads the browser tab you choose on a countdown you set, optionally shows a small timer on that page, and can watch that page for a word or phrase you type and alert you when it appears. It checks that tab's web address only to stop refreshing when you leave the site, and to list the tabs that are refreshing in its popup.
Data stored on your device
- Your settings (interval, options, theme and the text you asked it to watch for) are stored in Chrome's extension storage on your device.
- The position of the on-page timer is stored per site in that site's local storage on your device.
Nothing is sent to X Networks LLC or to any third party. No analytics, no accounts, no tracking, no remote code.
Permissions
- scripting, site access: to reload the tab you selected, show the timer on it and search its text for the phrase you entered. Page content is only examined locally and never leaves the browser.
- storage, alarms: to remember your settings and keep the countdown accurate.
- notifications, offscreen: to show a desktop notification and play a short sound when a refresh limit is reached or your text is found.
